What a fantastic night we had sleeping over at the school last week. 25 very excited Grade 2s and Alan, Dubravka, Jess, Sam and Douglas as well as lots of help during the evening from Robyn and Amy. The night kicked off with outdoor activities followed by a lovely chicken and salad dinner then indoor games and a movie before bed. Next morning it was an early start before breakfast and packing up ready for parents and carers to pick students up ready for a busy Saturday. Thanks everyone that participated for making our annual sleepver such a success again this year. Hi everyone,
We had a great Bounceback lesson last week with a focus on "Resilience". Please see below for a great picture of the town we built with good and not-so-good streets, based on 'Oh, The Places You'll Go' by Dr Seuss. from Amy (Teacher of 5/6A) To build community connections P/1R travelled to Thornbury kindergarten to share songs they learn within the music program. Many of the P/1's were extremely excited to return to the place were they spent their kinder year! The kindergarten children even taught term a song! P/1 students gathering resources to answer their investigation questions from experts in the field! Thanks to Northcote Metropolitan fire brigade, Ray our crossing supervisor, Jane one of our parents who is a Maternal Health Nurse and Natasha for bringing in baby Max so Jane can demonstrate to the children her role! The P/1's have throughly enjoyed the 6 week PIT gymnastics program where they gained confidence and skill developing movement skills in a range of environments! A big thanks to Jenny from PIT for facilitating the lessons! |
