What a great few weeks we have had at Pender's so far this term. Students spent the first two weeks working hard on our school Startup Program and we had some fantastic presentations at a special Friday assembly focussing on our school's values, Respect, Integrity, Curiosity and Determination, and how we demonstrate these every day at school.
We have also had students participating in Circus Skills sessions each Thursday as part of our whole school Phys. Ed. program. These sessions will continue for most of this term. Our large chess pieces and new chess board having been getting a workout during a few lunchtimes each week and it has been great to see some of our older students teaching the younger ones the rules and strategy of the game. |
