Specialist Library Program

All students (F-6) attend a specialist session each week with our librarian Dayle Manley. The library sessions at Pender’s Grove include the development of library skills to support Inquiry learning as well as an appreciation for Literature. Students are encouraged to engage with texts and develop a vocabulary to discuss ideas and books. The borrowing, reading, and caring of books is supported by families so that children will appreciate the value of books and of learning. Parents are always welcome to contact the school with offers of assistance to process new books.
