The Victorian School Sports Awards are the highest sporting accolades presented in the Victorian government school system and earlier this week, Rylie, one of our Grade Sixes from last year, received an award for her achievements in hockey.
Only three students from Victorian State primary and secondary schools received awards for hockey so this is a fantastic achievement by Rylie. Some of her achievements that were highlighted at the ceremony were: · Selection in 2016 for Hockey Victoria’s under -13 team that competed at the National championships · Representing Victoria in the under-12 team at the School Sport Australia Championships · 2015 Sportsperson of the year at her local hockey club We are always proud of our students’ achievements outside of school and we congratulate Rylie and wish her all the best with her future involvement in hockey.

Pender's students have been having a fantastic time over the last few weeks participating in the Little Devils Circus program each week.
The program teaches a range of age-appropriate circus skills over a number.of weeks across the term. In the final week students will show off their skills at a special afternoon show for parents and the community. The Little Devils Program also aims to increase feelings of resilience and coping, with a focus on teaching perseverance, building confidence and self-esteem |
