School Camps
There are three camps that students at Pender's Grove Primary have an opportunity to attend. They are planned to encourage students towards greater independence and are all held during Term Three and Four.
Year 2 Snooze (Term 3-4)
2011 saw the inaugural Year 2 Snooze sleepover in the Early Years Building. Staff and students enjoyed a moment of independence and fun with a special BBQ dinner and a night of songs, movies and laughter. Since then the Snooze has been embedded into our camping program.
Camp Marysville (Term 3)
Students in Year 3 to Year 4 are invited to be a part of this three day camp in Marysville. Students travel up by bus and spend their time walking through the bush exploring the environment, , laughing lots, participating in a range of craft activities, bending the brain in trivia competition, eating plenty of food, riding bikes, climbing on the ropes course and abseiling/rock walls and much, much, more! Wombat Corner (Term 4)
Year 5/6 students count down the days until they leave for Wombat Corner Camp. The camp provides a secure, fun-filled environment managed by friendly, professional staff. Wombat Corner is located in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. The camp has a low ropes course, kayaks, initiative course, archery, flying fox, basketball court, trampolines and a mini golf course. Indoor activities include a table tennis table, soccer table, air hockey and a pool table. There is also a recreation hall with a stage where shrieks of laughter can be heard during energetic games of sock wrestling and plays performed by students dressed up in interesting costumes!
