A nice day for gardening

Even though it was cold at times last weekend we were able to get outside and do some gardening. Lawns were mowed and we also did some weeding as the weeds grow very fast at this time of the year! Is there a garden at your house either outside or inside, perhaps in a window box? In the photo we have been weeding the ground around our rose bushes. What sort of gardening and planting do you, or would you, like to do?

Hey Bruno,
A couple of weekends ago my dad and I went to get a garden bed. It's above ground and has a self watering system, but we still need to water it sometimes. Dad got it for all the ten neighbours to share, so it's out the front as a communal garden. We are growing carrots, lettuce, and parsley so far. We also have two pot plants that have varying watering times. Dad's plant needs to be watered every day, but mine only needs to get water every couple of days. We got them at a Kris Kringle at the school.

Do you have any fruits/veggies growing?

Hi Amelia - someone gave us a fruit tree last year but they didn't know what it was - for now it is called the ApplePear mystery tree! We also have a lemon tree and a fig tree but they don't put out much fruit. It sounds like you and Dad have been very busy!
