At Pender’s Grove Primary School, school camps are an exciting opportunity for students to build independence, resilience and friendships in a fun and supportive environment. Held in Term Three or Four each year, our camps are designed to complement classroom learning and provide meaningful real-world experiences.
2026 Portsea Camp – Years 5-6
This year students in Years 5-6 attended a two-day camp at Portsea where they challenged themselves with a range of outdoor activities and experiences, as well as independence being away from home.

2025 Urban Camp – Years 3-6
Students in Years 3-6 attend a two-day camp at Urban Camp in Parkville, located near the Melbourne Zoo. This experience gives students a taste of adventure and independence while whilst remaining close to home. The program includes different age appropriate activities for the 3/4 and 5/6 students and may include:
- Visiting the Melbourne Zoo
- Exploring city parks and galleries
- Participating in a visit and educational programs at one of the many city museums or
the MCG - Visiting the Eureka Tower
The Urban Camp provides a supportive environment where students can bond with peers, develop confidence and enjoy the cultural highlights of Melbourne.
