A message from the Principal of Pender’s Grove Primary School
Welcome to Pender’s Grove Primary School
Where every child is known, valued and supported to thrive.
At Pender’s Grove, we believe learning is a lifelong journey—and every child travels that journey in their own unique way. As a small school we know each student as an individual: their interests, their strengths, their challenges, and their potential. We also know that a child’s learning is stronger when there’s a genuine partnership between school and home. We take great pride in building strong, respectful relationships with our families. When families and educators work closely together, children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Our Values
Everything we do is guided by our school values: Respect, Integrity, Curiosity & Determination
These aren’t just words on a wall—they’re lived every day in our classrooms, playgrounds and relationships.
Learning That’s Dynamic, Personalised and Future-Focused
At Pender’s Grove, learning is designed to meet the needs of each individual child. We offer a rich and responsive curriculum that builds strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while also embracing STEM, the Arts, the Berry Street educational model and Playbased and Inquiry learning.. Our teachers use a variety of approaches to ensure all students are challenged, engaged, and supported — setting them up for success now and in Secondary School and beyond.
What We Aim For
At Pender’s Grove, our goals are simple, but powerful:
- Every child is literate, numerate, and curious
- Every child is motivated and engaged in their learning
- Every child feels safe, supported, and included
The Power of a Close-Knit School Community
We’re proud to be a small school with a big heart. Our size means that every child is known by name and cared for by every teacher and staff member — not just their own. It also means that families are not just welcome—they’re an active, valued part of our school life. We’re the right size to be able to keep relationships at the centre of everything we do as well as being able to offer the full range of enriching programs that help students discover their passions and talents.
Why Families Love Our School Community:
- Teachers know each student deeply and tailor their learning accordingly
- Students are known, valued and supported by all staff
- Relationships between staff, students and families are strong and respectful
- It’s safe to take risks, try new things, and learn from mistakes
We warmly invite you to explore our website, or better yet — come and visit! You’ll see firsthand the strong sense of connection, care and community that makes Pender’s Grove such a special place.
We love our school, and we think you will too.
