Pender’s Grove Primary School is proud to be an accredited eSmart School, supporting our students to navigate the online world safely and responsibly. As part of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation’s eSmart Schools program, we help students develop the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a digital environment while staying safe and respectful online.
Creating a Safe and Supportive Digital Environment
At Pender’s Grove, we believe that teaching our students to be smart, safe, and responsible digital citizens is essential. Through our eSmart approach, we integrate cybersafety education into everyday learning, empowering students to make informed decisions when using technology. We also work closely with families and the wider school community to promote positive online behaviours and reduce the risks associated with cyberbullying and unsafe online practices.
What is the eSmart Schools Program?
The eSmart Schools program provides a proven framework to support schools in developing a culture where technology is used safely and responsibly. It helps schools:
- Equip students with the skills to be safe and responsible online
- Support teachers and staff with resources and professional learning
- Engage families and carers to reinforce positive online behaviours at home
- Build strong, supportive relationships to reduce bullying and cyberbullying
Since achieving our eSmart accreditation, we continue to uphold these values and ensure that digital wellbeing remains a priority in our school community.
