At Pender’s Grove Primary School, we proudly offer a rich selection of instrumental music programs that extend our classroom music curriculum and nurture a love of music in our students. These programs are led by highly skilled instrumental teachers and take place during the school day.
Private Instrumental Lessons
Students have the opportunity to take private music lessons in the following instruments:
- Recorder
- Piano
- Guitar
- Violin
- Ukulele
- Keyboard
Each year, our instrumental students showcase their talents at our highly anticipated Musical Soirée, a celebration of their hard work and musical growth.
Collaborative Brass Program
In partnership with Thornbury High School, we recently introduced a program offering trumpet and saxophone lessons to selected students in Grades 5 and 6. This exciting initiative gives students the chance to explore brass instruments and build new musical skills.
Choir and Percussion Ensemble
We also offer opportunities for students to join our school choir and Percussion Ensemble. These groups rehearse weekly and perform regularly at school assemblies and local community events, developing teamwork, confidence and performance skills in a supportive setting.
