Out of School Hours Care
Please note that due to the current COVID19 Health situation our OSHC program is currently suspended. Both Before & After Care will re-open with their usual hours on Tuesday May 26th. Please contact the school office for bookings or for more information.

Philosophy
Our program values Children and their families and provides a service that reflects the importance of children and their families. Our service aims to meet the needs of and support the ideals of Children and their families in an environment that is safe, caring and supportive. Our service aims to be inclusive of all members of our school and broader community. Our service provides support and advocacy for children and their families through being guided by Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics. Our service provides a program and curriculum that is supported by the Victorian Early Years Learning and development framework and the National curriculum, Belonging, Being and Becoming.
Education
Pender’s Grove Out of School Hours Care Program is committed to providing a range of educational, supervised activities that give children opportunities to express themselves and make choices. Children are involved in planning suitable and appropriate educational activities. We believe children learn through Play.
Caring
The program provides a supportive and caring environment and program for all children. We provide a nutritious and tasty breakfast every day. Each afternoon there is a healthy snack available. There is always fresh fruit and water available. The children help write a new menu each fortnight. Our menu is devised using the latest health and nutrition guidelines and following a healthy eating approach. We do not allow nuts or any nut products at the service.
All regular staff hold current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training. Parents are notified promptly of any illness or injury. The program follows educational department guidelines for the management of infectious diseases and illnesses.
Convenient
It can be difficult to juggle appointments, changing work or study schedules, or family emergencies. So it’s a relief to know that quality education and care in a suitable environment, for your school-aged child/ren is available.
At Pender’s Grove out of School Hours Care Program casual places are generally available. Enrolling your child costs nothing and is good insurance against those little emergencies.

Pender’s Grove Out of School Hours Care Program is provided to assist parent/s with school age children. Our service is licensed under the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.The program and service has a high accreditation rating and is part of the new Australian Childrens Education and Care National Quality Standard. Enrolment
The program is a licenced and funded educational and care service. Children who attend must have a completed enrolment form prior to attendance. Enrolment days can be changed through contacting the school office on 9484 1076, or contacting the service (depending on availability).
Hours of Operation
7:30 – 8:45 am on school days
3:30 – 6:00 pm on school days
2:30 – 6:00 pm last day of term (will be confirmed prior to end of term)
7.30 – 6:00 pm on curriculum days

Fees
Fees are:
$10.00 per session for Before School Care
$15.00 per session for After School Care
Child Care Benefit and Child Care Tax rebate are available through the Family Assistance office.
Fees are charged monthly and prompt payment is appreciated. Late Fees will be imposed for the Aftercare program if the child is not picked up by 6.00pm. Both the Before and After Care Programs are 45 place programs (program increased size in Term 3 2017).
