Remembrance Day: On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month every year we have a minute’s silence.
We do this because World War 1 was ended at the ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
We pay tribute to the soldiers that have fought in any war: World War 1, World War 2, Boer War, Vietnam War, Afghanistan
Why is it important to us?
Amelia- They fought for our freedom
Ali- “They gave up their tomorrow, for our today”
Adam- It’s important because a lot of people died and they thought they were doing it for their country but lots of the time it was political.
