Last Wednesday 27th May schools around Australia read 'The Brothers Quibble' by Aaron Blabey. At Pender's Grove, the Grade 6 students organised and ran activities in the F2 and 35 classrooms based on the story. There were origami crowns, friendship bracelets, mobiles and silly masks made as well as painting, sticker families and jigsaw puzzles. Each class showed fantastic responses to the book and focused on the themes of the story such as conflict, family and friendship.
What a great time we had today with our activities and whole school book reading of "The Brothers Quibble" for National Simultaneous Storytime. Students participated in special activities focussed on the book in their own classes organised by our Grade Six students. Thanks to the parents and carers that came along to hear the story at our shared reading session in the hall. Read on for a report from Grade 6A.
