NAIDOC Week 2014 was a huge success with a number of activities and celebrations being held across the week.
Activities began on Monday with a performance of Indigenous dance by the Gindan Djalbu Dance Group which our audience of students, staff and parents absolutely loved! It was also great to have Aunty Connie with us to begin our NAIDOC week with a Welcome to Country. Activities continued on Wednesday with students watching the film Dust Echoes and on Thursday afternoon a Long Walk recognition was held as well the beginning of the process to create a Bunjil's Nest here at Pender's Grove. On Friday the week concluded with a 3 on 3 basketball competition and BBQ. Thank you to all the families who assisted us with the organisation of the week. Comments are closed.
