![]() Today 100 students from our Years 3 to Years 6 along with the multiage class joined with 22 000 other students from around the country in the largest gathering of young people on cybersafety in the world! There was a great deal of discussion promoting positive behaviours on the internet as well as strategies to stay safely. Passwords, cyber bullying, online behavioiur, privacy and scams were all discussed. Online polls during the presentation and classroom discussions ensured all students were engaged and learning. A small number from each class were thrilled at the end of the day when a surprise thankyou arrived from the organisers - we were presented with 30 drink bottles to present to some of the students. Thanks for all those who were flexible enough to shuffle timetables and organise the day. Here's what some of our students are saying ... "It was fun because we learned how to be safe." "We had the chance to visit the cybersmart site and took the kids quiz. I learned that if you are on a website game and there is a pop up, let your parents know about it." "We learned to tell an adult if you get a nasty email or see something that makes you feel uncomfortable." "If someone shares a password tell an adult and have the password reset."
